Accessibility statement
ZT Tech Academy should work for everyone who wants to learn IT, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, captions, or large text.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, on every page. We are working toward it and have not had an outside audit yet, so we say plainly where we are and where we are not.
What we do today
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link at the top.
- Light and dark themes, and your system's reduced-motion setting is respected for blinking and animated parts.
- Form fields have labels, pages have a title and headings, and results like quiz scores are announced to screen readers.
- Course notes are real web pages (not only PDFs), so text can be resized, read aloud and printed or saved as a PDF.
- Layouts are built to reflow at 200 percent zoom and on a phone. Tell us if one does not.
Where we are still working
- Captions and transcripts. Narrated lessons are written from a script. We are adding captions and a text transcript to every narrated lesson.
- Interactive labs. Some labs use drag and drop or diagrams. We are adding keyboard controls and a text description to each one. If a lab does not work for you, tell us and we will give you another way to do the same exercise.
- Older PDFs. Some downloadable PDFs are not fully tagged for screen readers.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please report it. Say which page and what you use (for example, a screen reader or keyboard only). We read every report and will reply by email if you leave an address.
